All at Norwich City are saddened to learn of the passing of former player Malcolm Lucas.

Born in Wrexham, Wales, Lucas began his footballing journey in non-league with Bradley Rangers before making the move to Leyton Orient in 1958.

He spent seven years in the capital at Orient, and made over 150 appearances for the club. During his spell with the club, Lucas made his international debut for Wales in 1962.

Lucas went on to make four appearances for the Welsh national side, earning his final cap in November 1962 against England.

In 1965, he made the move to Norwich and spent a number of years in Norfolk. His time with the Canaries saw Lucas make over 180 appearances.

A move to Torquay United was next, and he spent four years with the Devonshire side before going on to become player-manager at Gorleston between 1976 and 1980.
