Elsewhere on the day, Cambridge City Women were the only other Division One South East team to progress through to the next round, beating Southampton Women 2-1.

The opposition

Much like the Yellows, the Cherries have had a strong start to their season and also sit top of Division One South East's counterpart, Division One South West.

The determining round of the cup saw a 2-0 win for Steve Cuss' side against Bridgewater United, with goals from Alisha Buckingham and Katie James.

Outside of the cup, Bournemouth have taken 15 points from a possible 15, maintaining a 100 per cent record so far for 2023/24.

Their biggest win came on the opening day of the season, as they beat Selsey FC 13-0, helping towards their total of 31 goals scored in all competitions so far.
