Norwich City face AZ Alkmaar on Wednesday evening (July 19, KO 5.30pm UK time/6.30pm local time) as their pre-season preparations continue.
The Canaries returned from Germany at the weekend after completing fixtures against SV Darmstadt 98 and 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
A Marcelino Núñez goal gave City a 1-0 win in Darmstadt, while a weather-affected tussle against Kaiserslautern eventually ended 0-0.
The AZ Alkmaar fixture will take place at the complex of Dutch amateur side VV Dirkshorn.
The opposition
The Kaaskoppen finished fourth in last season's Eredivisie behind champions Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven, and AFC Ajax.
Pascal Jansen's men also reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League before losing to eventual winners West Ham United.
One to Watch
Vangelis Pavlidis
The Greek forward was AZ's leading scorer in all competitions in the 2022/23 season and was on the scoresheet on Saturday in a 4-0 pre-season victory over Lech Poznan.
Pavlidis' CV includes a nomination for the 2021 Puskás Award for his mazy run and audacious lobbed finish against Fortuna Sittard, while playing for former club Willem II.
The Manager
Pascal Jansen
London-born Jansen became the manager of AZ Alkmaar in December 2020, having previously been a youth team coach for PSV Eindhoven.
He has guided the squad to fifth and fourth place finishes in the Eredivisie in his two full seasons at the helm.
