Brighton have lost their last six games in the league but are 13th in the division.
Graham Potter's side have won seven, drawn 12 and lost ten of their 29 matches so far, scoring 26 and conceding 36.
Before the international break, they were beaten 2-0 at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Seagulls have spent the majority of the season in the league's top half, in no small part thanks to Neal Maupay's eight goals in the topflight.
