With the Sky Bet Championship season now less than two weeks away, our pre-season preparations continue with a trip to Cambridge United's Abbey Stadium on Tuesday night (8pm KO).
We will once again be sporting our new ruby and gold away kit in sweltering conditions.
City are unbeaten in pre-season so far, having beaten Dereham Town, King's Lynn Town, Olympique de Marseille, and been held to a draw by SSV Jahn Regensburg.
The opposition
Cambridge have had mixed pre-season results, losing 3-2 to Cardiff City and 3-2 to Notts County either side of a 2-0 win against the latter.
Four players have been recruited in the summer, Saikou Janneh, James Holden, Brandon Haunstrup and Zeno Ibsen Rossi all signing for the U's.
Among those to have departed the club is City legend Wes Hoolahan, who helped Cambridge gain promotion to and comfortably survive in Sky Bet League One.
Mark Bonner's side came 14th in the third tier last season, in no small part due to the 15 goals of Sam Smith (no, not that one!)
Last season, they also notably beat Newcastle United at St. James' Park in the third round of the FA Cup.
Head-to-head
We have only played three competitive games against Cambridge since our first meeting in 1981 and have won on all three occasions.
Last time we met was in April 1982 for our first competitive visit to Abbey Stadium, where we won 2-1.
