Norwich City's 2021/22 FA Cup campaign begins with a trip to The Valley to face Charlton Athletic in the third round on Sunday (2pm KO).
Last season, the Canaries beat Coventry City 2-0 in the third round at Carrow Road before being eliminated at Barnsley, while Charlton were knocked out of the first round by Plymouth Argyle.
The opposition
After beginning the season with Nigel Adkins in charge, the Addicks won just two of their opening 13 matches in League One before Johnnie Jackson was appointed as caretaker manager.
That has since been made permanent as Jackson won six of his first nine league games at the helm.
Impressively, Charlton kept clean sheets in all six of those wins, Norwich City loanee Akin Famewo part of the staunch defence.
However, Charlton have lost their two most recent league games 1-0 to Plymouth and Wycombe Wanderers, but scored a 91st minute winner to beat Milton Keynes Dons in the Papa John's Trophy on Tuesday.
As for their FA Cup journey so far, the South London club beat Havant & Waterlooville 4-0 in the first round as well as Gateshead 2-0 in the second round.
Head-to-head
Of the 82 meetings between Norwich and Charlton since 1921, there have been 28 Norwich wins, 19 draws and 35 Charlton wins.
Last time we met was in the Carabao Cup in 2017, City winning 4-1 at Carrow Road thanks to goals from Josh Murphy, Marley Watkins and Tom Trybull.
Our last visit to The Valley was in the Championship in 2015, Cameron Jerome's 83rd minute strike securing a 3-2 win that day.

There will be no use of VAR for this fixture.
