Kaiserslautern finished in ninth place in the second tier of German football last season, winning 11 of their 34 league games.
It was their first season back in the 2.Bundesliga, having won promotion from the 3.Liga in the 2021/22 season.
One to Watch
Erik Durm
With seven Germany caps to his name, Erik Durm is one of the more experienced players in the Kaiserslautern squad.
After a spell with Mainz II, Durm joined Borussia Dortmund II and eventually progressed into the senior squad, featuring 64 times for the first team in the Bundesliga.
A stint at Huddersfield Town followed, working with David Wagner, before he returned to Germany to play for Eintracht Frankfurt and Kaiserslautern.

Dirk Schuster
Dirk Schuster began his managerial career at ASV Durlach, before a later spell at Stuttgarter Kickers.
Two terms at Darmstadt followed, with a brief stint coaching Augsburg in between. The 55-year-old then spent two seasons in charge of Erzgebirge Aue.
In May 2022, he was appointed head coach at Kaiserslautern.
