Norwich City Under-18s continue to look for their first point in the U18 Premier League South as they host Birmingham City Under-18s at Lotus Training Centre on Saturday (11am KO).
Greg Crane’s side were beaten 1-0 at home to West Bromwich Albion U18s last weekend to remain bottom of the division with zero points.
As for Birmingham, they’re 12th in the league with six points from seven games, most recently beating Crystal Palace 2-1 away from home with a 90th minute winner.
Oscar Thorn, who has made six U18 PL appearances so far this season and one Premier League 2 appearance, said: “Overall, we were the better side against West Brom, we just didn’t take our chances in front of goal, so it was a bit frustrating.
“We’ve been working more on the attacking side of our game because we defended quite well. We’ve been working on combinations to make the chances and then actually scoring them.
“We want to be more clinical against Birmingham and we’re looking to get something out of the game. We’ve had a good week leading up to it and got a few players back from injury and Covid. We’ve got near enough a full squad.
“I’m currently coming back from injury. I played my first 25 minutes last Saturday, but before my injury I was getting back into the flow of where I was last season. I’ve had a hard season so far with getting Covid and a couple of injuries, so right now I’m just looking to build from where I was before my injury and get back to playing how I can play.”
