Match preview: Norwich City U23s v Stoke City U23s

Looking to build on their positive start to the 2021/2022 Premier League 2 season, Norwich City U23s host Stoke City at Carrow Road on Friday evening (7pm KO).

In our match preview, we’ll be taking a look at Stoke’s start to the season and how you can follow the action live from home.

The opposition

After their second-place finish in Premier League 2 last season, Stoke just missed out on the title and promotion to Division 1 to Leeds United.

Taking 14 wins, three draws and seven losses, this Friday’s visitors finished the previous campaign on an impressive 45 points, nine ahead of third-place Crystal Palace.

And much like City, the Potters got the new season started on winning ways after their 2-1 victory over league debutants Birmingham City on Monday.

The last time the sides faced each other was in February 2020, when the young Canaries took a 2-1 loss to Stoke at Clayton Wood Training Ground.

However, City will be in high spirits going into this meeting after their 3-0 win over Southampton last weekend, courtesy of Abu Kamara’s hat-trick.

The venue

Friday’s fixture will be the first of many visits to Carrow Road for the U23s this season, with fans encouraged to come along and support the next generation.

Admission to the game is FREE and fans don’t need a ticket to enter. Entrance to Carrow Road will be via the turnstiles in the South Stand.

Bookings are being taken for Yellows Bar and Grill for fans to enjoy a pre or post-match meal! To book your table, please visit:
