Match Preview | Norwich City v Blackburn Rovers

The Sky Bet Championship returns to Carrow Road on Saturday as we welcome Blackburn Rovers for our first home league game of the season (KO 3pm).

City bounced back from defeat on the opening weekend by winning their Carabao Cup first round tie against Stevenage in midweek. Rovers, on the other hand, have won both games, scoring 10 goals in the process. **The Opposition** Blackburn started the season with a 4-2 home win against newly-promoted Derby County last Friday night. Debutants Andi Weimann and Yuki Ohashi both got on the scoresheet while last season's Championship top scorer Sammie Szmodics and Tyrhys Dolan also netted. They then followed that up with a 6-1 win against Stockport County in the Carabao Cup. Makhtar Gueye got his first goal for the club on the night. **The Manager**
***John Eustace*** A central midfielder in his playing days, John Eustace represented Coventry City, Stoke City, Watford and Derby County among others during his career. He first became head coach of Kidderminster Harriers but departed to join QPR as Steve McClaren's assistant in May 2018. He had a brief spell as caretaker manager at Loftus Road, and as assistant manager of the Republic of Ireland, before getting the top job at Birmingham City. In February 2024, Eustace joined Rovers, replacing Jon Dahl Tomasson. He guided them to safety in the Championship, beating champions Leicester City on the final day.
