Norwich City welcome a resurgent Middlesbrough, under new management, to Carrow Road this Saturday in the Sky Bet Championship (KO 3pm).
With seven points out of a possible nine in their last three games, City look to have halted their poor run of form that saw them drop from second to fourth in October.
Today, they come up against a Middlesbrough side that have had a difficult start to the league but have shown a turn in fortunes since appointing former Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick as their new boss.
The Opposition
Two of Boro's six wins have come since Carrick took over at the end of October. The most impressive performance in that short reign was arguably their most recent where they had a dominant 3-0 win at Bloomfield Road.
They're currently 16th in the table with 24 points, eight behind Norwich in fourth, which shows the extremely tight margins at play in the division.
Head-to-head
City have met Boro on 57 occasions throughout the years, the first of those coming on October 15, 1960.
Norwich are currently edging it with 22 wins to Middlesbrough's 21 while there have been 14 draws. Of the last seven games, Norwich have six wins with a draw in the most recent meeting in January 2021.
Prior to that run, Norwich had just one win in 12 stretching from 1988 to 2015.
