It's County Cup action for the Canaries this weekend as Norwich City Women host Dussindale and Hellesdon Rovers Women in the quarter-final of the Harrod Sport Women's Cup.
The match takes place at The Nest on Sunday, February 18, kicking off at 2pm.
After another postponed game last Sunday, Norwich City have only been able to play two full fixtures in 2024 so far, still keeping their unbeaten league form in tact.
As an FA Women's National League side, the Canaries were given a bye into the round, beginning their cup journey on home turf.
**The opposition**
The visitors started their cup campaign in the third round where they travelled to Thetford Town in January, emerging victorious in a penalty shoot-out.
After 90 minutes, neither side had managed to find the back of the net, so up stepped Rachel Bussey, Chelsea Brister and Victoria Leyer to convert from the spot.
Goalkeeper Tyla Cole played a key role, making two important saves to end the shoot-out at 3-2.
Rovers are currently sat in second place of the Eastern Region Women’s Football League Division One North.
Much like the Canaries, they are also in a top-of the-table battle, with 25 points accumulated this season in the league, just two points behind Harpenden Town in first.
**2022/23 in the Cup**
Last season saw Norwich City claim their seventh County Cup title, beating Mulbarton Belles 3-0 in the final at Carrow Road.
Ceri Flye, Katie Knights and Olivia Cook were all on the scoresheet in the second half to claim the title back in May 2022.
Rovers were able to reach the semi-final of the cup last season, losing out 5-0 to the Canaries away from home. Ellie Smith and Freya Symonds were both able to bag a brace each, with Cook stealing a fifth goal at The Nest.
