Match preview: Norwich City v Gillingham

Norwich City face Gillingham at Carrow Road for their fourth game of pre-season on Tuesday, August 3 (8pm KO).

City are currently unbeaten in their pre-season schedule so far following victories over King’s Lynn Town, Lincoln City and Huddersfield Town.

The fixture will be the first time that fans will be allowed back inside Carrow Road since the Canaries’ win over Cardiff City in December 2020.

The opposition

Gillingham have had it all in their three pre-season fixtures so far with a 2-0 win over Colchester United, a 1-1 draw against Millwall and a 2-0 loss to Leyton Orient before their meeting with the Canaries.

The Gills came tenth in League One with 67 points last season, Vadaine Oliver (pictured) the club’s top scorer with 20 goals in all competitions.

They're managed by Steve Evans who's been in charge since 2019 - his resume includes stints at Leeds United, Peterborough United and Rotherham United.
