City suffered a 3-2 defeat against Leeds United over the weekend. Shane Duffy and Gabriel Sara had put Norwich 2-0 up before a resurgent Leeds second-half performance. David Wagner's men now sit in 10th place in the table. **The Opposition** After a difficult start to the campaign, Boro have won their last five league games seeing them climb to 13th in the table. Most recently, they enjoyed a 1-0 win over Birmingham City at the Riverside Stadium. They've also progressed to round four of the Carabao Cup where Exeter City await at the end of the month. **One to Watch
Hayden Hackney** Central midfielder Hayden Hackney joined Middlesbrough's pathway at Under-10 level and has made the rise through their Academy to become an integral part of the first team. He was named as the club's player of the year last season. Having previously represented Scotland at Under-21 level, he was recently called up by their English equivalent for the September international window.

Michael Carrick** Former England international Michael Carrick took charge at the Riverside Stadium a year ago on October 24. He would guide them for the lower reaches of the league to a play-off spot but they would lose 1-0 to Coventry in the semi-finals. He previously spent time as Manchester United caretaker manager after working on the coaching staffs of both Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
