City will hope to start the new calendar year with three points, as they welcome former Canary Russell Martin's side to Norfolk. **The Opposition** After relegation from the Premier League last season, the Saints have enjoyed a promising campaign so far and will hope to be in promotion contention in May. Southampton will look to continue their fine form as they aim to close the gap to the automatic promotion places, having not lost in the Sky Bet Championship since September. **One to Watch**
**Adam Armstrong** A constant goal threat this season, Southampton's main attacking outlet will be Adam Armstrong. The 26-year-old has previous Sky Bet Championship experience with Blackburn Rovers, as well as Premier League exposure with the Saints.

**Russell Martin** No stranger to Norwich fans, Russell Martin made over 300 appearances for the Canaries in all competitions as a player. He began his managerial career with Milton Keynes Dons, before a spell with Swansea City. He took over at St Mary's in June 2023.

Last Time Out

The two sides met in August and played out a 4-4 draw at St Mary's. Josh Sargent, Gabriel Sara, Jonathan Rowe and Christian Fassnacht netted for Norwich.

For Southampton, goals came from Jan Bednarek, Armstrong (x2) and Che Adams.
