Match Preview | Play-off semi-final first leg

Norwich City take on Leeds United in the first leg of the Sky Bet Championship play-off semi-final on Sunday, May 12 (KO 12pm) at Carrow Road.

The Canaries finished sixth at the end of the regular season while Leeds missed out on automatic promotion on the final day.

Norwich have failed to win in three, drawing twice at home before ending the season with a defeat to Birmingham City.

The Opposition

After getting relegated from the Premier League last season, Leeds were tipped to go straight back up, alongside Leicester City and Southampton.

Former Canaries boss Daniel Farke joined the club as head coach ahead of their return to the Championship and guided them to third place.

Leeds would go top of the table in mid-March during an incredible run of 15 games without defeat.

However, a finish of one win in six, including four defeats saw them drop out of the top two.

Previous Meetings

Farke's side have held the advantage over the Yellows during their meetings so far this season.

In October, Shane Duffy and Gabriel Sara both netted to give Norwich a 2-0 half-time lead at Carrow Road.

However, a second half comeback with goals from Crysencio Summerville (2) and an own goal would see Leeds win.

In the reverse fixture in January, Patrick Bamford scored the only goal of the game after 16 minutes.

City pressured the hosts well at Elland Road for the majority of the second half but failed to trouble Illan Meslier.
