Norwich City will be hoping to get a good run in the Carabao Cup under their belt this season, beginning with the first-round visit to QPR.
The Canaries are in Loftus Road on Wednesday, August 16, with a sold out away end of 1,500 supporters expected.
The winners of the tie will be on the road in the second round, a date with Bristol City at Ashton Gate is the prize.
The Opposition
It's been a mixed start to the season for QPR - they've won one and lost one of their opening two league encounters.
With their ground requiring extra time to be made ready for the campaign, they were forced to go across London to face Watford on day one, suffering a 4-0 defeat.
However, they followed that up with a hard-fought 2-1 win at the Cardiff City Stadium over the weekend just gone. This will be their first home game of the new season.
One to Watch
Ilias Chair
Belgium-born Ilias Chair is the key cog in QPR's set-up, linking play between midfield and attack.
The Moroccan international joined QPR ahead of the 2017/18 season and has gradually made himself a mainstay under numerous head coaches.
The Manager
Gareth Ainsworth
After 11 years in the hotseat at Wycombe Wanderers, Gareth Ainsworth returned to Loftus Road in February 2023, where he had been incredibly popular as a player.
He spent seven years with the Rs as a player from 2003 to 2010, before eventually also joining the coaching staff.
QPR finished last season in 20th in the Championship.
Last Time Out
The two teams last met in the Sky Bet Championship in April, a game that ended 1-1.
Lyndon Dykes opened the scoring in the first half while Adam Idah levelled for an injury-stricken Canaries early in the second half as many were still making their way back out to their seats.
