Norwich City drew 0-0 away to Middlesbrough in their final away game of the 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship season.

Angus Gunn returned between the sticks for the Canaries, with interim head coach Jack Wilshere making four changes from Easter Monday's defeat at Millwall.

Kelechi Iheanacho registered the game's first opportunity on goal, but the striker slipped as he shot with the ball being a comfortable one for Gunn to collect.

Gunn was called into action once again, with the Scottish international having to palm away Hayden Hackney's curled effort.

Norwich's first attempt came via Jacob Wright, whose curled effort was just off-target.

Callum Doyle threw himself in front of Finn Azaz's shot on goal before Gunn pushed away one from Aidan Morris, as Michael Carrick's side went in search of the opening goal.

Early in the second half, Borja Sainz almost found the top corner with a shot from range but the Spaniard's effort whistled just beyond Mark Travers' post.

Travers then made a fantastic double save to keep the scores level. First, he pushed away Sainz's effort from the edge of the area before denying Josh Sargent's follow-up effort.

Down the other end, Gunn got down well to push Morris' effort wide of the post and out for a corner. The Norwich goalkeeper made a similar save moments later, denying Tommy Conway.

Sainz and Sargent combined well, with the former sending the latter through on goal. The US international saw his shot hit the outside of the post and bounce clear.

Neither side would find a winner as the points were shared at the Riverside Stadium.

The Canaries end the 2024/25 Championship season at home, hosting Aaron Ramsey's Cardiff City side next weekend (KO 12.30pm).
