Norwich City ended the 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship season with a 4-2 win at home to Cardiff City.
Angus Gunn was named as captain in his final appearance for the club, with Amankwah Forson starting his first league game since November. Onel Hernández and Jacob Sørensen were named on the bench against the Bluebirds.
The game's first chance fell to the away side as Cian Ashford saw an effort saved by the feet of Gunn.
But it was Norwich who took the lead. Jack Stacey's ball across goal was met by Marcelino Núñez, whose side-footed effort beat Ethan Horvath for the opener.
It went from bad to worse for Cardiff only two minutes after the opener, as Calum Chambers was sent off for a last-man challenge on Josh Sargent.
And from the resulting free-kick, it was two. Núñez found the top corner brilliantly with his set-piece, giving Horvath no chance.
It could've been three moments later, as Sargent saw an effort hit the outside of the post and bounce clear.
Núñez then turned provider for the Norwich third. The Chilean found Borja Sainz with a fantastic pass and the Spaniard finished confidently into the far corner.
Ruairi McConville almost added his first goal in Norwich colours, but his header had just too much on it as it hit the crossbar.
There was almost a spectacular fourth goal as Forson curled an effort from range, which wasn't too far away from finding the top corner.
In the second half, a smart corner routine almost resulted in Sainz volleying into the top corner, but the Spaniard's effort was just too high.
Yousef Salech pulled a goal back from the penalty spot for the Bluebirds, after the Cardiff forward was felled in the area.
Núñez nearly completed his hat-trick as he got on the end of a cross, but it was diverted behind by Horvath. From the resulting corner, Shane Duffy rose highest to head in for the fourth goal of the afternoon.
Salech scored once more for Cardiff, volleying in well from a Callum O'Dowda header.
Jacob Wright nearly had Norwich's fifth, with his side-footed shot flashing just wide of the post as the Canaries ended their season on a winning note.
