Norwich City enjoyed a 4-2 victory under the Carrow Road lights against Watford on Tuesday evening.
After going 2-0 up through Ashley Barnes and Josh Sargent, late second half goals were needed from Gabriel Sara and Christian Fassnacht to seal the points.
Watford had pulled level midway through the second half thanks to Mileta Rajovic and Yaser Asprilla but a late surge saw Norwich to victory.
Head coach David Wagner had made two changes to his team from the starting 11 against QPR on Saturday.
Jacob Sørensen and Onel Hernández came in to replace Grant Hanley and Fassnacht while Jonathan Rowe missed out through injury.
Norwich were in command early on and Kenny McLean was first to try his luck, firing over the crossbar from distance.
Barnes' mishit effort almost caught Ben Hamer out after eight minutes but the 'keeper was able to turn it behind.
There was nothing off about his header in the 20th minute though, the striker nodding home at the back post with HawkEye confirming the ball had crossed the line.
And Sargent would make it 2-0 just eight minutes later. Wesley Hoedt fouled McLean inside the penalty area and the referee pointed to the spot.
Hamer saved the penalty well but was helpless as Sargent headed in the rebound.
The visitors pulled one back a couple of minutes before the break when Ken Sema slipped in behind and slotted the ball across Angus Gunn's goal for Rajovic to finish.
Sara almost restored the two-goal cushion before half-time but his right-footed strike would only find the side-netting.
Sema had a good chance to equalise seven minutes after the restart but could only flash his effort wide of the post.
Watford's equaliser then almost came in the most bizarre circumstances when Borja Sainz's miscued pass almost beat Gunn from nearly 40 yards but the Scotland number one headed it clear before ending up in the front row.
The away team's pressure finally told when Asprilla's strike from distance flew in off the post.
Sara nudged Norwich back in front when Barnes set him through on goal, the Brazilian placing the ball low into the corner.
Fassnacht added the fourth when he got on the end of a Jack Stacey cross just five minutes later.
The Canaries are back at home on Saturday afternoon with the visit of Cardiff City.
