Norwich City booked their spot in round two of the Carabao Cup with a 4-3 win over League One side Stevenage at Carrow Road.
Johannes Hoff Thorup made seven changes to the side that fell to defeat on the opening weekend of the Sky Bet Championship season.
There was a Norwich debut for Brad Hills, who partnered Jaden Warner in defence, while there was first starts for Amankwah Forson and Abu Kamara. George Long, Onel Hernández and Kellen Fisher also came into the side.
Forson was straight into the action, as he rose highest to meet a Jack Stacey cross in the game's opening stages. He couldn't quite guide it on target, however.
Stevenage's first chance of the game saw Jordan Roberts flash a ball across goal, which just evaded the on-rushing Dan Kemp.
A free-kick from Marcelino Núñez had Stevenage goalkeeper Murphy Cooper racing across goal, palming the ball out for a corner.
The score would be opened just before the half-hour mark, as Kamara marked his first start with his first goal. Hernández's shot from Borja Sainz's cut-back fell to Kamara who finished from close range.
But there would be an immediate equaliser for Stevenage, as Charlie Goode headed in from a free-kick.
The Canaries restored their lead nine minutes later with a superb move from start to finish. Warner confidently played out from the back, with McLean sending Stacey through. The ball across goal was perfect for Hernández to finish beyond Cooper.
Stevenage would go in level at the break, as Louis Appéré equalised from a corner.
Three minutes into the second half, Norwich regained their lead. Kamara was stopped in the Stevenage box, but Sainz picked the ball up and fired beyond Cooper.
And just before the half-hour mark, it was four. Good work from Forson lead to Hernández grabbing his second of the evening, finding the bottom corner.
There would also be a senior debut for 17-year-old Elliot Myles, as the youngster came on for McLean for the final 10 minutes.
The away side pulled one back with a few minutes left, courtesy of an own goal.
The Canaries return to league action on Saturday, as they welcome Blackburn Rovers to Carrow Road (KO 3pm).
