Norwich City had to settle for a point against Portsmouth at Carrow Road on Friday afternoon as Pelle Mattsson's goal was cancelled out by a late equaliser from the visitors.
The Dane opened the scoring in the 27th minute for his second goal in as many games but the visitors hit back to make it 1-1 in the 84th minute.
Philippe Clement made three changes to his side that faced Charlton before the international break; Jacob Wright, Harry Darling and Jakov Medić all moving into the starting 11.
Anis Ben Slimane and José Córdoba withdrew to the bench following international action earlier this week, whilst Oscar Schwartau and Mohamed Touré returned to the squad after time on the sidelines from injuries.
Kenny McLean won the Canaries a free-kick for City's first attack of the game, but the Norwich captain fired it into the Portsmouth wall and danger was cleared.
The first corner of the tie went City's way, as Paris Maghoma set-up Mathias Kvistgaarden for an overhead-kick deep inside the area but his shot was deflected away and behind.
Another free-kick for the Canaries delivered by Jacob Wright was inches away from finding the back of the net but Medić was unable to convert from the angle.
Norwich finally made the breakthrough just before half an hour as Maghoma's initial cross into the box was blocked, allowing Mattsson to strike low on the rebound and find the back of the net.
Portsmouth almost hit back immediately as a corner for the visitors led to a scramble in the box, Medić eventually clearing the danger.
A lovely pass from McLean sent Schwartau into the area, who flicked a cross back across goal that was cut out by Nicolas Schmid, just narrowly too long for Kvistgaarden.
Portsmouth captain Pack stood over a free-kick just before the break that Kovačević was equal to and managed to punch to safety.
The second half opened with less intensity, neither side really testing the goalkeepers before the hour mark.
Maghoma sent an effort goalward after 65 played but couldn't find the target.
With six minutes left on the clock, Pompey found their equaliser when Andre Dozzell's free-kick was flicked on by Colby Bishop and Regan Poole shot was eventually turned in by Mattsson.
City are back in action early next week when they travel to Millwall on Monday, April 6.
