Norwich City were beaten 5-0 at home to Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of the 2021/22 Premier League season.
Head coach Dean Smith made three changes from the side that drew 1-1 at Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out. Into the side came Tim Krul, Jacob Sørensen and Milot Rashica at the expense of Angus Gunn, Ben Gibson and Billy Gilmour.
Norwich had plenty of the ball in attacking areas in the first half, but it was the visitors who looked the more dangerous playing on the counter. First Kane, from inside his own half, turned and played in Kulusevski down the right who then squared the ball for Pierre-Emile Højbjerg to fire over. Kane then had an effort of his own blocked at the near post by Krul before Rodrigo Bentancur sprung the offside trap and raced into the area before pulling the ball back for Kulusevski to opening the scoring after 15 minutes. Milot Rashica sent a warning shot just wide seven minutes later but then error at the back gifted Spurs a second. Krul playing the ball out from the back allowed Bentancur to steal the ball off a Mathias Normann on the edge of the area. Bentancur then chipped a ball into the area where Kane was left with a simple header into an unguarded net. Further chances came Tottenham’s way in the first half minute that remained, but Ben Davies effort was saved by Krul and cleared by Zimmermann before, in stoppage time, Kane headed a good chance straight at the Norwich keeper.

The second half began with Norwich City creating the first opportunity as Pierre Lees-Melou played a quick one-two with Teemu Pukki on the edge of the box but couldn't quite bring the return pass under control eight yards out and Tottenham cleared.
Spurs then went close to making it three-nil as Kane played in Son, who had a first time shot blocked at the near post, but then a minute Rashica crossed from the right for Pukki to head just wide.

Then in 69th minute, Son made it 4-0 as he fired into the bottom corner having only a minute early sprung the offside trap and been denied by a good save from Krul. Son then added a second, and Tottenham Hotspur's fifth, with 15 minutes to go with a superb finish, to put him ahead of Salah in the race for the Premier League's golden boot. However, a late goal from the Egyptian in Liverpool's game saw him share the accolade with the Liverpool striker.
