Norwich City Women put on a five-star performance against London Seaward on Sunday afternoon, picking up three points in front of an entertained home crowd at The Nest.
After a disappointing loss at Carrow Road three days ago, the Canaries bounced back in the perfect fashion, with a brace from Natasha Snelling and goals from Hope Strauss, Freya Symonds and Holly Kennard.
It took all of 21 seconds for Norwich to find the lead, as Seaward stopper Alex Baker passed the ball directly into the feet of Snelling in the box, who found the back of the net with ease.
City continued to dominate in the following 30 minutes of play, keeping the ball in Seaward's half but unable to extend the gap.
Ellie Smith had the best chance of the first half an hour, driving with the ball through the Seaward defence, but had her effort blocked by a blue shirt.
Andy Cook's side were then rewarded for their efforts, as Shannon Shaw was pushed over in the area and the referee awarded a penalty.
Hope Strauss stepped up and maintained her 100 per cent conversion rate from the spot to make it 2-0 after 34 minutes.
City closed the first half and opened the second well in control.
With 54 minutes on the clock, Freya Symonds unleashed a magnificent shot from the edge of the area, finding the top corner for Norwich's third.
City weren't done there, as Smith looked very keen to get her own name on the scoresheet, with two consecutive chances in the box, but neither found the back of the net.
There was little work to do for Sarah Quantrill in goal, aside from the routine collection of some shots and crosses into the box.
The fourth of the day went to Snelling, who was in the right place at the right time to slot home a perfectly placed cross from Smith.
The forward was close to a hat-trick shortly after, as her free-kick struck the post with some power, falling the wrong side.
Substitute Holly Kennard then sealed the win with a lovely strike inside the box, making it 5-0.
