Norwich City fell to a 2-1 defeat away to Plymouth Argyle in the Sky Bet Championship at Home Park.
Marcelino Núñez and Emiliano Marcondes returned to Johannes Hoff Thorup's starting line-up at Home Park, as the Dane shuffled the pack from last weekend's win at home to West Bromwich Albion.
Ante Crnac was the creator behind Norwich's first proper chance on goal. The Croatian did well to get behind the Plymouth defence and get a cross in, but it was just in front of an outstretched Josh Sargent.
Núñez then saw an effort saved by Conor Hazard in the Plymouth goal after the Chilean combined well with Crnac.
But against the run of play, the home side would take the lead. A long throw was cleared by the Norwich defence, but Plymouth hooked a ball forward and it was brought down by Ryan Hardie, who finished beyond Angus Gunn.
And five minutes later, Hardie and Plymouth would add a second. The Norwich defence stopped Mustapha Bundu from getting a shot away, but Hardie latched onto the loose ball and curled beyond Gunn.
Less than a minute into the second half, Norwich had pulled one back. Borja Sainz did well to progress forward and find Kellen Fisher who crossed into the box. The cross found Sargent and the US international volleyed brilliantly beyond Hazard.
Hardie had the opportunity to complete his hat-trick just after the hour mark as he was slipped in by Callum Wright, but his effort was held by Gunn.
A corner almost found its way beyond Hazard and into their own goal from a Plymouth defender, but Hardie managed to clear the danger from the line.
But Plymouth would remain firm and hold out to claim all three points in the Championship.
