There was late heartbreak for Norwich City as Preston North End scored an injury-time equaliser to draw 1-1 at Deepdale.
Philippe Clement named an unchanged side from last weekend's victory at home to Southampton, with Jack Stacey returning from injury for a place on the bench. Josh Sargent remained out due to concussion protocols.
The home side created the first opportunity of the game, as Thierry Small forced Vladan Kovačević into a smart stop.
Former Norwich loanee Lewis Dobbin had an effort from range, seeing his shot go off-target.
Norwich didn't create too much in the first half, with Amankwah Forson and Pelle Mattsson seeing respective chances blocked.
Michael Smith was behind the first chance of the second half, but his header was straight at the Norwich goalkeeper.
After a tame second half, Makama fired Norwich into the lead five minutes from time. Being found by Emi Marcondes, Makama spun his marker and fired into the bottom corner in emphatic fashion.
But in the sixth minute of stoppage time, Will Keane headed in to rescue a point for Preston.
The Canaries are back in action on Boxing Day, hosting Charlton Athletic at Carrow Road.
