Norwich City concluded their Belgian pre-season camp with a 1-1 draw against Pro League side Standard de Liège at Stade Maurice Dufrasne.
Johannes Hoff Thorup made four changes to the Canaries side that were beaten against Club Brugge on Wednesday, with the returning Grant Hanley, Kenny McLean and Marcelino Núñez starting. There was also a change in goal, as Archie Mair replaced George Long.
Norwich started out the stronger side, and were rewarded with the opening goal after nine minutes. Adam Idah's ball forward was perfect for Borja Sainz, who cut inside and fired beyond the goalkeeper.
The Belgian side would level five minutes later, as Ibe Hautekiet headed in an equaliser.
Jonathan Rowe did well to battle for and win a header on goal, but it didn't trouble Matthieu Epolo in the Standard Liège goal.
Sainz was played through on goal once more, and the Spaniard almost broke through the defence but for a late challenge from Bosko Sutalo.
A number of changes were made at half-time, including the returning Onel Hernández who made a fast start to the second half. The Cuban managed to beat the goalkeeper with a nice piece of skill, before a defender got back to clear the danger.
Long produced a fantastic stop from point blank range just after the hour mark as Standard Liège almost took the lead.
Abu Kamara, also introduced at the break, did well to nutmeg a defender and get a shot away. His effort was blocked out for a corner.
Norwich continued to create chances and Gabe Forsyth was next to threaten, seeing his low shot held well by Epolo.
There wouldn't be a second goal for either side though, as Norwich's Belgian camp ended with a draw.
