Mathias Normann spoke to canaries.co.uk following Sunday's 5-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

"I’m not happy of course," he said. "5-0 hurts a lot. I don’t know what to say."

The nature of the goals conceded caused frustration for City, who gave away a number of opportunities to Tottenham.

"It’s not the first match that we concede such goals, but it is what it is," Normann said.

"We just need to forget this season and take the little positives we did and come back stronger.

"Of course it hurts. This is football. Tottenham is a very good team and we see today that we struggle a little bit to close down spaces in between the midfield and our back five and back four. Their movements are very good offensively."

Asked for a message to the Norwich supporters, Normann said:

"I’m so sorry. We failed this season and it hurts a lot. For me individually, I’m so sorry. I wanted to stay here and I’m devastated that we failed this season."
