Max Aarons featured for an hour of England Under-21s 2-2 draw with Slovenia in U21 European Championship qualifying on Thursday night.
Named in the starting eleven by new head coach Lee Carsley, Aarons enjoyed a successful hour on the field for the Young Lions, before they threw away a two-goal lead.
Goals in the first-half from Conor Gallagher of Crystal Palace and Cole Palmer of Manchester City saw them race to a healthy advantage.
However, they were pegged back by their hosts in the second-half to eventually draw the match. Aarons was replaced prior to the equaliser by Southampton full-back Tino Livramento.
Next up for Aarons and England is a trip to Andorra on Monday night (7pm UK kick-off).
