Ahead of his sixth East Anglian derby this weekend, Norwich City captain Kenny McLean discussed the significance of the upcoming clash with Ipswich Town.
“I know what this match means to the club and I probably should say that it's just another game, it's another three points, but it's not, I'm not going to hide away from the fact that it's our rivals.
“It's a big game for us and we're going to go out and if we continue to do what we've been doing, then we'll get an opportunity.
“There’s more on this game, there is no doubt about it and we had a run as a football club for a long time, which, unfortunately for us, we were the players that went there and didn't get the result that we should have.
“The expectation is there for us as players to go and put that right, especially here at Carrow Road.
“We don't want anybody coming here and taking what is ours and there's three points available against your biggest rivals; I don't think there's much more you can ask for in a game.
“When we turned up at the stadium in the last home game against them, if you didn't know much about the fixture before the game, you quickly realised.
“The scenes outside Carrow Road that day were exceptional and the fans are always going to be there backing us, so we need to give them something to cheer about.”
