Kenny McLean played 76 minutes as Scotland claimed a 1-0 win away to Greece in the first leg of their UEFA Nations League play-off.
The midfielder started the game at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus, home of Super League side Olympiacos, before being replaced by Arsenal's Kieran Tierney.
Scott McTominay's first-half penalty meant Steve Clarke's side go into the second leg with a slender leg, as they look to remain in Nations League A.
They play their second leg on Sunday evening, welcoming Greece to Hampden Park in a 5pm kick-off. Former Canaries Dimitris Giannoulis and Christos Tzolis started for Greece, while McLean was joined in the Scotland line-up by Grant Hanley and Billy Gilmour.
Elsewhere, Alex Roberts came off the bench for Wales Under-21s as they finished as 1-0 winners against Andorra. Roberts and Wales take on Sweden on Sunday afternoon.
