Norwich City's short film You Are Not Alone won gold at the Smiley Charity Film Awards ceremony in London on Wednesday night.
The film scooped the top honour in the Big Issue Corporate Cause category, thanks to its impact on the awareness of suicide prevention and the services of the charity Samaritans.
Produced in-house, the film was released on World Mental Health day in October 2023 and reached a global audience with over 145 million online views to date.
On the week of its release, 7,500 inbound messages to Samaritans were attributed to the film, which accounted for 63 per cent of their total messages.
After its impact became apparent, the club made the film freely available to download in collaboration with the UK's five leading mental health charities, as part of its mission to boost mental health and wellbeing.
Feeling grateful for the recognition our cause received. It's not about the awards, but the impact we make.
