After yesterday’s 1-0 win over AFC Wimbledon Ladies, Norwich City Women have secured safety in the FAWNL Division One South East.

Club captain Millie Daviss was full of admiration for the players and staff who had helped the team towards four consecutive wins.

“It feels absolutely incredible, the girls have all worked so hard and it just shows in the last four games that something’s just clicked. Credit to the girls, credit to the staff, everything seems to have come together and it's come together at the right time.”

Alongside the match mascots of the day from Sprowston Ladies Football Club, a host of young supporters had shirts ready to be signed by the team after the final whistle.

“It's amazing to play in front of however many people we got here today. The supporters were amazing as well. Getting the young girls down here – that’s what it's all about you know, inspiring the next generation.”

“We love playing football, we love being in this environment. We love playing here at home at the Nest and now that we've got the backing of the club, it’s just great and we can't wait to be part of it.”

Norwich have one final game to play this season, as they travel to Hanwell Town Football Club next Sunday to take on Queen’s Park Rangers.
