Following the passing of Gordon Bennett, Norwich City can confirm that the club will hold a minute's silence in his memory prior to the weekend’s game against Preston North End at Carrow Road.

Between 1988 and 1999, Bennett served in roles across the club’s youth setup before moving into the post of chief executive. His passing was confirmed by his family on Thursday evening.

Both sides will wear black armbands for the weekend’s Sky Bet Championship fixture, before a period of silence will commence prior to the 3pm kick off.
