More than 12,000 fans expected at Carrow Road for England Women's game against Spain

England Women are set to take on Spain this Sunday in the Arnold Clark Cup in front of more than 12,000 fans at Carrow Road.

England Women are set to take on Spain this Sunday in the Arnold Clark Cup in front of more than 12,000 fans at Carrow Road.

The round robin competition, which will see England also take on Canada, at the Riverside Stadium on February 17, and Germany at Molineux, on February 23, promises to be an exciting competition with all four teams involved inside the top 10 world rankings.

The tournament is a pre-cursor to the European Championships which will be held in England in the summer and there is plenty of enthusiasm for the games in East Anglia, with 12,000 supporters having already purchased tickets for England's match against Spain.\

Speaking ahead of the tournament, England and Manchester City defender Alex Greenwood said: “It’s so exciting. Over the past couple years, we've gone to SheBelieves (an invitational tournament in the USA), and we've seen what type of audiences they attract

"I have always said it would be so good to do it in our country. We have the chance to do that against some very good opposition as well which will be a very good test for us in the lead up to the summer.”
