A brace from new signing Shannon Shaw saw Norwich City Women clinch a 2-0 win over Wroxham Women in a pre-season training game.
Earlier in the day a new head coach was announced for the Canaries, as Martin Herdman took to the dugout for his first match in charge.
The full match structure of 120 minutes was split into four 30-minute quarters, meaning an almost full squad got some minutes on the pitch in Wednesday's training game.
Megan Todd had the first attempt inside five minutes but her curling effort went wide of the mark as City had control of the attack and possession, using the first 15 minutes to find their feet and put pressure on the hosts.
The Yachtswomen got the first corner but a looping header high over the bar was nothing to worry new signing Sarah Quantrill in goal.
An excellent piece of defending from Ceri Flye prevented a Wroxham shot on goal and led to a drive down the wing from the defender, before her goalward pass was put out of reach of a Norwich shirt.
However, it was Hannah Fuller of Wroxham who had Trafford Park on the edge of their seats for the first time, after her flick from just inside the box rolled narrowly wide of the post.
Debutants Lauren Hailes and Felicity Limage both had a go from range shortly after but their efforts curled wide of the mark.
Quantrill was called into action near the end of the second quarter to calmly block a powerful shot from Fuller, once again.
Into the third quarter and it took all of one minute from a side of fresh legs to put the Canaries ahead, as new recruit, Shaw, nodded home a close-range effort for the first goal of the evening.
Freya Symonds made her presence known towards the end of the third quarter, with a tidy run through the defence into the box on the left, but she couldn't get the final touch on goal before the ball was cleared.
Shaw came close again from a corner and although her effort was collected by Wroxham's keeper, at the second time of asking, she soon looped a curling shot from the edge of the box to hit the back of the net for her second.
Mary Croft sprung into action for one of the final chances of the match as she calmly chased down an attacker heading towards goal and regained possession on the edge of the box to clear any danger of a shot for Bryony Williams in goal.
Williams was able to confirm a clean sheet with a save from close-range to deny the Yachtswomen taking anything out of the game in the dying seconds.
