Friday, November 25, marks White Ribbon Day 2022 in the UK, coinciding with the beginning of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
White Ribbon Day and the 16 Days Against Domestic Abuse that follow aim to raise awareness of the issue of violence against women and girls through active community engagement.
\#TheGoal this year is to highlight 11 traits men and boys can nurture to help create a world of equality and safety for women.
The focus with #TheGoal campaign is to raise awareness about the challenges — and dangers — women and girls face in traditionally male-dominated contexts like the football pitch, but also public transportation.
As football fans all over the UK commute to and from matches over the weeks to follow November 25, White Ribbon are bringing #TheGoal to stations across England and Wales in order to highlight how fellow passengers and train companies can foster the 11 traits on their commutes and within their work environments.
