Norwich City were 3-1 winners away at Bristol Rovers to progress into the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup.

David Wagner made seven changes from Friday night's win away to Hull City, with Jacob Sørensen included in the starting line-up.

Onel Hernández had the game's first opportunity, but his shot was easy for Matt Cox to claim.

The hosts would have an opportunity of their own in the opening stages, with Chris Martin's lobbed effort going wide of George Long's posts.

Bristol Rovers would go in front just before the 20-minute mark as Luke McCormick fired beyond Long.

The Canaries enjoyed good spells of possession with the ball, but were unable to find a way beyond the Rovers defence in the first-half.

Luke Thomas forced Long into a smart stop early in the second half.

Eight minutes into the second half, Norwich were level. Sam McCallum's brilliant curled effort hit the inside of the post, and Gabriel Sara reacted quickest to tap in.

The Canaries had the perfect opportunity to take the lead after Jonny Rowe was felled in the box. Adam Idah stepped up and fired beyond Cox from the penalty spot.

Idah had a chance to add his second of the game, as he latched onto Sara's ball forward, but Cox did well to deny this time.

Long produced a brilliant stop to deny an equaliser from Bristol Rovers, keeping Antony Evans out from close range.

And late on, Kenny McLean added a third with a brilliant curled effort.

Victory sets up a trip to Anfield for the Canaries, with Liverpool awaiting in the fourth round.
