Onel Hernández was joined by Gabriel Sara at yesterday’s signing session at the Fan Hub, as the pair sat with fans for photos and signed memorabilia.
Talking to canaries.co.uk at the end of the day, Hern ández said: It was a very exciting day and we’re always happy to meet Canary fans.
“There were a lot of funny, interesting pictures and there was a fan that came with an old t-shirt with the Argos sign that says Onel and, although that was from a while ago, it’s nice to see merchandise from back then!"
The two first team players seemed to get along well and happily conversed in Spanish before the event began.
The Cuban winger said: “Gabriel is settling in very well. I talk to him a lot and he’s very good at understanding and responds very quick. I have very good conversations with him.
“\[On the pitch\] he tries very hard and to improve every day on the training ground. He is always smiling like me, he is a happy person and he is good on the ball. He is a very talented young player.
City’s next fixture is the first of the season at Carrow Road, where the Canaries will take on Wigan Athletic.
Hernández prepares for his return to the stadium after a season-long loan spell last year: “I love to play at home in front of all our fans. I’m very excited and hope we can make everyone happy by getting three points.”
