Osman Foyo says he enjoys playing in a number of different positions for the under-18s having played at left-back for the home game against West Ham United.

Foyo was impressed in the role, getting forward on plenty of occasions and helping create chances for his teammates. His usual position is in central midfield but he says he doesn’t mind playing elsewhere.

“Playing left back is different to where I normally play, because I normally play in central midfield, but Craney (Greg Crane) told me when I had a chance just try and go forward and think I did that,” he said.

“Playing in a different position is good for my development as well. It shows that I am versatile and that I am reliable anywhere on the pitch.”

Norwich City lost the match 2-0, but Osman said the performance was good and showed that the team are improving week by week.

“I thought the boys dug deep,” he said. “We had some chances that we could have killed off but I thought we were a bit unlucky today. I think the boys put in a good performance and on another day, if we took our chances, then it would have been a win.

“I think, with the second goal, we have just got to get to their player quicker because he had time to turn and then take a shot. On another day, if we had got to him quicker then that wouldn’t have happened.

“I think even though they are disappointing results the development is getting there. We are developing as individuals and as a team as well.”
