Norwich City Women are delighted to announce the appointment of Perry Northeast as the club's new head coach.
He joins from Brighton & Hove Albion Women as the WSL club's girls academy manager and will officially link-up with the Canaries on Wednesday, July 1.
Northeast, 39, has spent a large part of his career with the Seagulls, joining the set-up as the technical director at the Girls Academy in December 2019.
He held that position for more than three years before moving up to first team interim assistant head coach in October 2022.
It was here that he helped to oversee the club to an 11th place finish in the WSL, before he became a full-time first team coach in 2023.
On joining Norwich City, Northeast said: "I’m feeling very fortunate and very lucky to be here.
"It's obviously a club that steeps in great tradition, real rich heritage and a club with a women's programme that's definitely on the rise. It's an honour to be here.
"From the playing pool and the playing perspective, it's really exciting because naturally I'll be inheriting a group of players who have a winning mentality and winning mindset; a group who know what it takes to win and gain promotion into a new league.
"One of the other big things that attracted me here to the role was the supporters.
"I've noticed that the crowds at this level can be big and there's a really nice community base here, so I'm really looking forward to meeting the fans."
Prior to his time with Albion, Northeast was head coach at Portsmouth Women from the 2013/14 season to the conclusion of the 2015/16 campaign.
During his spell with Pompey, he led the team to a Tier 3 title in 2015 to win the Premier League Southern, only to narrowly miss out on promotion to the WSL in a play-off final against the northern section winners; Sheffield.
Northeast also guided Pompey to the quarter finals of the Women's FA Cup in 2014; the club's best ever run.
Alongside his grass football career highlights, Northeast also represented his country as head coach of the women's beach soccer squad for seven years with England Beach Soccer and Team GB.
