Pre-season report | ADO Den Haag 0-0 Norwich City

Norwich City concluded their pre-season tour of the Netherlands with a goalless draw against ADO Den Haag at the Bingoal Stadium.

Norwich City concluded their pre-season tour of the Netherlands with a goalless draw against ADO Den Haag at the Bingoal Stadium.

Josh Sargent registered the game's first chance inside two minutes. A loose pass was won back high up the pitch, with the American forcing Kilian Nikiema into saving with his feet.

ADO Den Haag responded with an opportunity of their own, as Cameron Peupion saw an effort flash wide of Vladan Kovačević's post.

Amankwah Forson was found by Jacob Wright, but the Ghanian's shot was straight at Nikiema who saved.

Sargent capitalised on a defensive mix-up by the Eerste Divisie side, but his effort was put behind for a corner by the goalkeeper.

Ante Crnac did well to weave beyond a couple of defenders before shooting, with the Croatian's effort being parried away by Nikiema.

Half-time substitute Daniel Grimshaw reacted well to make a good stop early in the second half, denying Steven van der Sloot.

Grimshaw made another impressive save to keep the scores level, before Forson nearly opened the scoring down the other end just moments later.

Daryl van Mieghem came closest to finding the breakthrough, seeing his long-range effort hit the crossbar.

But neither side would find a way beyond each other's defences as the game ended in a 0-0 draw.

The Canaries now return to England and conclude their pre-season preparations on Saturday, August 2, against Eredivisie side NAC Breda.
