Norwich City's opening fixture of their Netherlands training camp ended in a 1-1 draw with FC Volendam.
The first of two games on the day, Amankwah Forson's cross forced an own goal inside the opening minute of the second half, giving City the lead.
The Eredivisie side would hit back just five minutes later though, as Norwich got through another 90 minutes of their preparation for the Sky Bet Championship.
With Zulte-Waregem still to come later in the day, Liam Manning was also able to get use out of the academy players who had travelled alongside the first team.
City had to wait just under 10 minutes for their first sight of goal. La'Sean Sealey, a scorer the previous weekend against Northampton Town, arrived at the back post to meet Matěj Jurásek's cross but couldn't beat the 'keeper.
Forson tested Kane Van Oevelen soon after with a curled effort as City increased the tempo.
Shane Duffy went close from over 30 yards on the half-hour, playing a one-two with Forson before unleasing a strike that just missed the top corner.
Bizarrely, Gibson Yah almost put City ahead when his backpass was well wide of Kayne Van Oevelen but came back off the post. The 'keeper was then able to shut down Oscar Schwartau's follow-up.
At the other end, Dan Grimshaw was forced into just a single save with his feet as the first half ended goalless.
However, it didn't take long after the break for City to edge in front as Forson's cross was diverted into the net by a defender.
Van Oevelen was forced to pull off a strong save from Ajay Tavares as City looked to double their lead immediately.
It was Volendam who struck next, half-time substitute Aurelio Oehlers had his effort deflected beyond Louie Moulden in the 51st minute.
Both teams had opportunities in the second half without really threatening to score.
With several substitutions introduced for both teams, it gave valuable minutes to a selection of City's travelling academy players.
