A youthful Norwich City side were beaten 1-0 by Eredivisie side NAC Breda at the Avant Training Centre on Saturday morning.
Caleb Ansen made the game's first save just after the 15-minute mark, saving well with his legs to deny an effort from NAC Breda.
The Dutch side could've taken the lead as a free-kick was parried into the path of an on-rushing attacker, but the effort was fired over the crossbar from close range.
Breda had the ball in the back of the net just after the half-hour mark, but the linesman had flagged for offside.
NAC Breda's strong first-half eventually would result in the opening goal, as a long pass forward was finished off well by Juho Talvitie.
In the second half, Toby Chilvers saw an effort saved by Kostas Lamprou in the NAC goal after latching onto Luke Towler's chipped ball forward.
Ken Aboh did well to get beyond a defender and surge into the area, but his effort was just wide of the post.
There was nearly a late equaliser for the Canaries as La'Sean Sealey's header hit the crossbar, before Brandon Forbes fired wide with the follow-up effort.
