Norwich City concluded their pre-season preparations with a 2-0 win over Eredivisie side NAC Breda at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon.
In Liam Manning's first game at Carrow Road as Norwich head coach, there were first starts in NR1 for Vladan Kovačević, Harry Darling, Jakov Medić and Papa Amadou Diallo. Summer signings Mathias Kvistgaarden, Jeffrey Schlupp, Dan Grimshaw and Louie Moulden were all named on the bench.
NAC Breda included former Canary Sydney van Hooijdonk in their starting line-up, with Carl Hoefkens' side to begin their Eredivisie campaign away to Feyenoord next Saturday
The game's first chance led to the opener. Ante Crnac latched onto a loose ball and fired brilliantly beyond Daniel Bielica as Norwich took the lead just before the 10-minute mark.
Crnac then turned provider three minutes later as Norwich doubled their lead. Amankwah Forson chipped in a delightful ball to the Croatian, who selflessly headed to Josh Sargent, with the American firing in for the second goal of the afternoon.
Diallo could've added a third goal shortly after, as the Senegal international was found by a Jack Stacey cross, but his effort was wide of the post.
In the second half, there would be first appearances in a City shirt for both Schlupp and Kvistgaarden as Manning introduced the summer arrivals from the bench.
In a second half of football with no stand-out chances for either side as the Canaries finished pre-season on a winning note.
Next weekend, the Canaries begin their Sky Bet Championship campaign at home to Millwall on Saturday, August 9 (KO 3pm).
