Further details of Norwich City’s pre-season schedule ahead of the new 2022/23 campaign have been confirmed.
Dean Smith’s side will begin their preparations with a friendly fixture against Dereham Town on Friday, July 1. The game will take place at Aldiss Park, kick off 7pm.
The following day City’s first team squad will then travel to the Bavaria region of Germany on the Austria/Germany border for an eight-day training camp.
Details of an open training session and pre-season fixture during City’s time in Germany will be confirmed in due course.
Upon returning to the UK a fixture away at King’s Lynn Town will take place at The Walks on Tuesday, July 12, kick off 7.30pm.
Information on another fixture around the weekend commencing Saturday, July 16, will be announced in due course.
On Tuesday, July 19, City will face Cambridge United at Abbey Stadium, kick off 7.30pm.
And, as previously announced, on the penultimate weekend prior to the kick off of the new season City will travel to Scotland for back-to-back fixtures against top-flight opposition.
On Saturday, July 23 the Canaries will face Celtic at Celtic Park, kick off 3pm. The following day, on Sunday, July 24, City will then face Hibernian at Easter Road, kick off 2pm.
The new Sky Bet Championship season will then kick off on the weekend of Saturday, July 30. City’s full fixture list for the new season will be announced on Thursday, June 23.
