Despite dropping points, Philippe Clement was “extremely proud” of his side’s performance against Swansea City.
“We deserved more.
“We're all disappointed to only take one point out of this because otherwise the dream of a lot of people stayed alive.
“But I'm extremely proud what the team has shown the last couple of months and also today.
“They went until the last seconds full for the victory, they gave everything and I cannot ask for more.
“we missed a little bit, yeah, ruthlessness, quality in the final third and the only thing that we missed to play a really big game today.
“If afterwards you see all the reactions of the fans today, how grateful everybody is for what the players have shown, that gives me also a lot of positive emotions and I became a little bit emotional even from my side to see everybody so happy now if you see where we were five months ago.
“I'm super proud of the players and staff.
“I told them also on the pitch because they dug in; they worked really hard.
“I've put high standards for them and they went even above that, I think, what they showed in the last couple of months.
“So after going behind this game, nobody stopped, nobody gave up.”
Kenny McLean marked being awarded as Norwich City’s Player of the Season with a goal.
“He's a great example for all the young lads, and we have a really young dressing room.
“A leader by example, but also with words, also saying the right things at the right moment, also being my right hand on the pitch during games, that you can talk about things to change fast.
“He's been extremely important in these five months together.”
The Canaries faithful showed their appreciation for the players after the full-time whistle in the lap of appreciation.
“The team needs to perform on the pitch or at least give everything.
“So that's why the fans rewarded the players back today with all this great atmosphere, for all their families also.
“I think it's a great, great moment also to show how much this club is not only a football club but also a family club where everybody feels really part of the family.”
Whilst play-off now are out of the question, Clement want to finish the season strongly against Hull City next weekend.
“we will prepare them to go full because I want to see this mentality, never to go for satisfaction and now to think about holidays.
“They have one more moment to go full to give the three points to our friends.”
