Andy Cook was full of praise for his squad that earned a win against Tier 5 side Wroxham Women in a pre-season fixture on Sunday afternoon.

"It was a good performance, solid work rate from everyone," Cook said following the win.

"The subs that we made came on and changed the game, the girls that started the game got good minutes and we managed to get a few players with 90 minutes.

"So, we're pleased with where they are physically, but pre-season's always about building everybody up, getting minutes.

"We had Evie last week and a couple of people that have got 90 this week, which is good.

"It's a good way to finish a bit of a topsy-turvy week; we were meant to have two games and only had one, so, we had to adjust the week in terms of the training but now we get ready for the week leading into Watford."

Cook reserved praise for some individual moments in the game, highlighting the quality across the squad.

“I think there's a couple of standout performances as well, some really good individual moments.

"Lara (Densley) came on for Tash (Snelling) up top and got herself a goal.

"We were working with her on Thursday night on what she needs to do out of possession and where she can work, so that was pleasing to see.

"Sienna (Booty) was fantastic when she came on, (Olivia) Cooky again supplied her a great cross as well, so loads of good performances.

"Freya (Symonds) had a little bit of a knock last week but she came on and played brilliantly today.

"I could go through several players there, who were fantastic today, so, I'm really pleased for everybody.”
