Head coach Andy Cook said he was pleased with his Norwich City Women side's performance against Brighton Academy on Sunday afternoon and reflected that we could have scored more.
City won 1-0 thanks to a Hope Strauss penalty in the first half of the tie.
"We knew the way Brighton would want to play, they have a very structured and organised way of playing, we managed to watch some of their footage of games this season just to get an idea of where they were at," he said.
"We were good in the press, we were happy with the way we played but you could argue it was frustrating that we didn't score more, that's probably the one thing we could have done better.
"Lara (Densley) had a good chance that I keep getting told was over the line but the referee didn't give it so it doesn't count, but we probably could have scored another three or four. You take 1-0 in a cup game."
Cook was full of praise for his side but also reserved some credit for the away team goalkeeper Lily Murray who kept Norwich at bay with some fine saves.
"You've got to give credit to their 'keeper, she's made a lot of saves today and we'll look back at the game to identify those areas and why we didn't score more.
"As long as we keep working and having a positive attitude and a want to learn, we'll be fine. The girls said a lot of positive stuff in the huddle which was really pleasing for me, plus it was another clean sheet.
"We're not the finished article yet by any way, playing against a group of Under-20s and probably 70 per cent of our team are the same age as well, so it's pleasing that we've come away with the win.
"We'll go back to what we know next week, we want to make sure we're strong defensively so we will have one mind of that and then we'll prepare like we have for all other league games."
