Norwich City Women concluded their pre-season schedule on Sunday afternoon against Royston Town, finishing on four wins out of five.
Head coach Andy Cook said: "We were pleased with the performance and happy to get through the game without any injuries.
"We didn’t want to be perfect in this game, we don’t want to be perfect in any pre-season game, we want to be perfect as a team come March and April when the season is really coming to it’s end.
"We could have probably scored 10 today, but we’ll take two, you take your victories, whether they’re in a pre-season game, league game or a cup game. We’re really happy with where we are at the end of pre-season.
"I had a particular game plan that I wanted them to follow in the first 45 minutes, which they did, but the temperature definitely affected today’s game, especially the first 45 minutes.
"Credit to Royston who were a good side and gave us a good test.
"I’m excited for next week. I just said to the girls that we’re there as a group and they should be proud of the work they’ve put in.
"They’ve adapted to what I wanted in the six weeks I’ve been here and I can’t wait to get working tomorrow on the plan for the first league game and I suppose that’s when the excitement starts."
